Volunteers are the backbone of any organization, especially a rescue group.  It takes a lot of work by a committed group of people to bring dogs in, take care of them and find them new homes.

Can you bring a dog into your home for a while? Foster homes do the important work of giving BARK dogs a safe, loving place to stay until they are adopted.

Do you think BARK just needs foster homes?  Oh no! In rescue it takes a pack to place a dog.

Are you a photographer? We need people to take flattering BARK dog photos for our website.

Are you experienced in fund raising? We can’t pay vet bills without money.

Are you a writer? We need help writing bios for our dogs.

Can you drive?  BARK needs help transporting dogs from one place to another.

Know dogs? We need volunteers to help evaluate dogs to see if they’re temperamentally suited to come into BARK.

Got time? We need help processing adoption applications and getting dogs from shelters.

Krewe Captains work with volunteers to help coordinate evaluating dogs, bringing them in, finding foster space and helping find their new homes.  In BARK you’ll find a group of people who are always willing to help out and offer advice.  Volunteer today and get involved!
